Socks and stuff

Well I finished that pair of socks in the pink twist bamboo yarn. My tension was a bit off with the first sock and that used a bit more yarn and then I ran out of the yarn for the toe of the second sock.
I did a blend of two yarns I had on hand
this is what they turned out like

Sew with them done it was time to grab another ball of yarn to see what they turn out .... here's the start of the next pair
some great yarn I picked up in Alberta last fall. I really like that pattern that is appearing as I knit.

I have the place mats ready to bind and I have started on the panel for the Relay for Hope Quilt.
Here is my sketch with the panel underneath.
and here is the panel sew far
And that brings me to the the winner of my blog-iversay
Sheila from Sheila's Quilt World was the lucky on in the draw.
Thanks to all who left a comment and thanks to you all for stopping in to see what I have been up to.
Sew until next time

SNOW and more Snow!

Well maybe not as bad as some areas but we are still getting snow this morning. I hope everyone stays safe and warm while these storm systems go through the country. The weather man says it will be warming up again soon and we will all get through the winter.

And with that said on to some good news, I have been blogging for 4 yrs now ( as of Feb 14) .
Sew do you know what that means......... a Give Away of course. I will put a give away together select a winner next Sunday so that will give everyone 1 week to leave a comment to be included in the draw. I will add a picture later today of the give way, so do stop by again to check it out.

I have been teaching classes again this winter and we are in the middle of a learn to quilt class. The next class will be making a quilt out of your T-shirts.  I have 3 more classes after that and have to finish up the samples for the class and write up the info to go with them as well.

I have also taken on the challenge of creating a quilt panel for the Relay of Hope. The panel is to represent Saskatchewan. It will be part of a larger 12 foot square quilt. The Relay for Hope will be run from April until mid summer where it will finish up in Hope BC. I have to check out the starting point again. You can also check it out by looking up Relay for Hope. This project will help to raise awareness and education for Aids and HIV. here is the linkhttp://www.relayforhope.ca/
I will share a little more as I get going on my panel.
Thanks for stopping and leave a comment if you would like to be included in the draw. Please leave a contact email if you are a no reply commentor  ( I know it is hard to keep resetting that button , I have ot found a long term  fix for it yet )

We Support You.......Feb 11, 2015

It has been a great hop. I've been blown away with sew many great ideas and sew seeing much support shown through the quilted items.
Thank you sew much Pat and Mdam Samm for putting this hop together through time and talent a lot of support has been spread out there.
a show of support ....... one cup
or two

I had a start on my project before going on a holiday. Sew when I got home and got rested up I was back on track working on it. Once I got started it was easy to keep working on it.

I chose to make a tote for a cousin of mine who is going through treatments. I thought it might be a nice way to have everything she might need while at the hospital and other appointments  There is enough room for a quilt or extra sweater, pockets for glasses, water, novel or what ever else she might need. And it is already in use as has received it in the mail already
I have been sew impressed away by some of the other totes you ladies have made. All the projects have been great, and such a nice way to show our support to those around us.
Now to pop it into the mail sew that she will have it soon.

Do stop by and see what the other ladies have created with this little bra design.
I am sorry to say this is the last day of the hop .......... but I know there is another just around the corner.
Thanks for stopping by and remember
