1st Snow of the season

Well we had our first snowfall of the season over night. It's still here this morning.  With the temperature going to around 6 degrees it will not last long.  A gentle reminder of winter coming soon.

With the snow it feel like it is time to hang out with my sewing machine.  I hope to get a few Christmas items made.

I have been working on a unique project.  A butterfly quilt made with old fabric,  similar to polyester. It also looked like it used to be clothing. The pattern came from a quilt magazine  from 1981. I have started tieing the quilt as it will be too hard on my hands to hand quilt.

I did get another quilt made from the spare fabric from the last quilt I posted back in May.

This quilt is the last Border of the month that Corriander Quilts Cory Yoder has done. She has many BOM'S that you can check out from the past.

The garden is all cleaned off and all but the pumpkins dealt with.

Here is the start of a fidget quilt.  Making for the nursing home.  Helps to keep fingers and minds exploring  and calm.

Happy stitching, keep cozy.

Hugs and stitches
