Safely Stitching

Finished FMQchallenge

Like most of you I have been staying safe and staying home. So what  is quilter supposed to do........ play in our stash and scraps aka leftovers. And that's what I have been doing.
Finishing up some projects and starting new ones. Sewing for my community with masks and ear relief bands as well as head bands. I've been planning for fall with a few classes for the college as well. Here are a few pictures to show you what I've been talking about here.

Well I think that is most of the sewing I have been up to the last while. I have been getting a wee bit of knitting in as well.
We quilters are lucky as anyone with a hobby that they love we have something to do as we stay together apart staying safe with the Covid 19 out there.
Stay safe.

Snow stitching

Last weekend was my class for Christmas themed applique mug rugs. The ladies did awesome.
I have been working on a Christmas tree  skirt for our daughter and son in law , a pre Christmas gift. Just closing off the binding and then some buttons and it will be complete.

As today is November 11th , remember those who gave so much that we have the freedoms we would not have without them.

New stitches

Reading my newest issue of Quilting Arts, I read an article about Stitch Meditation by Liz Kettle. Thought it my be worth a try . Here are the first 3 that I've made.

I participated In a post card swap ... things that buzz.
Jan's post card from Australia
Notice the pieced background, she did an awesome job.

I may try doing the stitch meditations for a bit just for fun.
In stitches for now
